The NFL's complete Thursday Night Football schedule for the 2025-26 season was released, and play on Prime Video will begin in Week 2 (Thursday, Sept. 11) with the Washington Commanders visiting the Green Bay Packers. The Packers opened as 1.5-point betting favorites at Lambeau Field, according to the opening NFL Week 1 odds.
Every game of the league's Thursday Night Football schedule - from Week 2 through Christmas night (and including Black Friday) - will be broadcast on Prime Video. That's 16 games throughout the NFL's regular season.

TNF Week 2 odds: Commanders vs. Packers (-1.5)
There'll be no Thursday Night Football broadcast in Week 1, as the season-opener between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles will be broadcast on NBC. As such, the first TNF broadcast will take place in Week 2 between the Commanders and Packers on Thursday, Sept. 11 in Green Bay, Wisc.

Mind the shorter week
The majority of teams participating in Thursday Night football will be getting just four days between games – and that isn't much time at all to prepare. Teams dealing with personnel or coaching changes or key injuries could be at a major disadvantage. And while those factors are baked into the odds, it's still an element worth your research time.
Expect a slow start
Thursday Night Football may have largely ditched its long-time reputation of being a snoozefest last season. Teams averaged 23.7 points per game last season on Thursday night.
However, a few inflated outputs boosted that number. The Chicago Bears dropped 40 points on the Washington Commanders in Week 5; the Dallas Cowboys put up 41 points on the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13; and the Las Vegas Raiders erupted for 63 points in an embarrassment of the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15.
